Comparing 2 Gold Bull Markets

The 70s Bull Market - - - The 2010's Bull Market

I noticed this link on Twitter: https://kingworldnews.com/now-that-gold-has-bottomed-here-is-the-case-for-34000-gold/

Which is where I got the following:

Date | Gold Price | Gold V Monetary Base %

17/02/1975 | $186 | 29% - - - 29/8/2011 | $1876 | 14%
23/08/1976 | $103 | 14% - - - 23/11/2015 | $1056 | 7%
23/10/1978 | $239 | 30% - - - 3/8/2020 | $2028 | 6%
27/11/1978 | $200 | 15% - - - 25/03/2021 | $1732 | 5%
05/02/1979 | $247 | 31% - - - ??/??/202? | $11,000 = 30%
14/01/1980 | $823 | 94% - - - ??/??/202? | $34,000 = 94%

Discussion of a 20% price fall (which we've just experienced since September last year) being a "mid-cycle pullback", reminded me of the Mike Maloney video I've posted below. I've included screenshots of his interactive charts further below. Interestingly, this chart shows the current bull market as being 2.42 times longer in duration and 1.8 times greater in magnitude. It also predicts a peak of $11K/oz on the 9th of November 2023. We'll have to watch this one unfold over the next couple years.

After Lining the Scales Up:

How's that correlation! Mike admits that this price target doesn't take into account massive money creation during Covid. Hell we're still only at 5% gold to monetary base.
